'Relatively' Low Price SuperCharger (please No E-Ram)
Hello All,
I want to SC my Z06, but do not want to spend more than approx. 3K. What are my options?
Thanking you in advance.
PS: please exclude installation price, tuning, hood, etc..... Just need to know which one is at or below this price. This could include a used one. If so, where to find and estimated cost. Thank you.

Re: Low Price SuperCharger (MonarchZ06)
About the only way you will be able to do it for $3K is to find a good used one and install yourself. Still going to be hard to get it for that low of a price.
There really aren't any low priced kits available for the C5/Z06. We can get you a brand new system in the mid $4000. range but that wouldn't include programming for the Z06 (that is available for the C5). You'd been looking at close to $5K plus the install in the end.
There are no low-cost options out there. Even if you manage to get a used kit from someone that is miraculously in good condition and meets your quoted price, there are a lot of incidentals required to get these things running "right". A supercharger is about finesse and power-on-demand, not just brute force (but you get that too). The finesse part is what will generally cost you -- I've spent almost $2K on incidentals (programming, new larger injectors, mounting bracket, pulleys, etc.) to get this car to be silky smooth at idle but also wallop on the top-end.
You quoted me 5700.00 for supercharger a couple of weeks ago what is the real price no tune w/fuel pump and boost pump
That depends on the kit that you are looking for (Vortech, ATI or Magnuson). Give us a call or send an e-mail over for pricing without the programming. If you would like to order your system without programming (one that usually comes with) there is usually a $200. - $250. discount.

Exactly what I meant with my above post, wasnt trying to sound sarcastic, but in reality, its not as simple as just spending 3k on supercharger...There are alot of the little things that need to be addressed once you have the s/c, including tuning, fuel system, etc. etc..
Dont forget to budget in the other little incidentals such as tires they seem to wear really fast, upgraded clutches, shattered rears and transmissions. Otherwise you'll love it
Great point. I can't believe I forgot about the clutch since I just finished getting a new clutch and flywheel! There goes another $1000-$1200... and once your clutch bites hard then there goes your rear end... doh!
