OK, So I just had the console and dash out of the car about three weeks ago when I did the shifter, and then after driving it once, the car is now giving me the "Service Column Lock" code on the DIC.
Haven't had an issue with the lock not working, all is well there, And I ordered the bypass from Corvettes of Houston, but what is the likelyhood I loosened something when removing the panels around the ignition when I pulled the dash panel to get to the Shifter?
We're going to go look at some land in the mountains Monday and I'd like to drive it... But I don't want to get stranded...
Re: Dreaded Service Column Lock Error... (C-5 TECH)
BSM??? DOn't know what that is and couldn't find it in the shop manuals... The system seems to work properly though. Motor runs, everything moves properly... Should I pull fuse #25 and re-insert it???
Re: Dreaded Service Column Lock Error... (Mikelly)
Well I did a search and read some other responses to this topic and Went out side and pulled the #25 fuse and waited for a minute or two before reinstalling it... I did check the column before hand and the wheel was NOT locked... SO, after resetting the BCM, I checked and there is no code and the wheel locks with no issues... I'll drive it tomorrow and see what happens... I have the Column lock bypass on order...
