abs/active handling wheel speed sensor

abs/active handling wheel speed sensor
Does anyone have any info on where to buy and how to install a wheel speed sensor. I had the dealer check ABS/active handling/traction control service warning light, they want $650 for the sensor and $400 for labor. I think this is out rageous for a sensor that is easily located behing the wheel bearing.

The sensor is part of the bearing. That is why the price is so high. The GM parts price for the bearing is very high compared to some aftermarket ones available from some of the autoparts stores. Are you sure its the sensor or is it a loose connection? You can easily check the connector behind the wheel bearing. By the way they have the price right for the bearing but I have had several replaced at the dealership under the GMPP and the total always comes to around $750 before tax. What are they doing for $400?

the bearing from GM is 450 the labor isn't 30 minutes in a garage more like 20 if you are sleeping.
