Default Crank no start

Hi all. I have not posted in a VERY long time. Life takes you many places. Anyway, I have no start no crank issue. Car lights up turning the key, I have 12.1v on the battery. The security light does not stay on or flash so I don't beleive its a VATS issue. I have been following on older thread with the start schematic. I hung on what the voltage reference should be coming out of the TD relay. I have a 12v coming, I have 12v coming out when the ignition is turned, and I see 12v when the clutch safety switch is depressed (yellow wire). However, on the yellow and black wire, I'm only seeing 0.34 out. Is this correct? If so, my next stop is the starter itself.

How did you measure this voltage: at the battery with a multimeter, or on the DIC?
Either way it's too low and you need to charge the battery or have it load tested as a first step.

with having the battery tested, 12.1v is too low. The yellow black stripped wire at the TDR is a ground provided by the BCM if everything with the VATS is ok. Turn key to run position and measure between a supply side of a fuse and the yellow black stripped wire you should have battery voltage.

Measured with a multimeter. Completely missed that was a ground🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️. Thanks mmartinez. I'll take the battery to have it tested, but I don't think that's my issue. This started last fall right before I stopped driving it for the winter. It would randomly do this (last few weeks I drove it) then just start.

Now I'm at a total loss on my issue. My gut(don't ask) is telling me the starter solenoid took a dump. So removed the necessary items to pull the starter. Jumped it on the ground. It spins over. Soo went to take the battery because, yes while low, I still didnt/don't think it's my issue. Battery came back good but low around 37%. Ehhh ok it's got some miles went ahead grabbed a new one anyway. So I wanted to see or hear the starter turn while it's "out" connected to the vehicle. I reconnected the battery, I see 12.5 on the hot starter post, I had my wife jump in the seat and turn over, I see 12.1-12.2 on the ignition post but nothing. Does it need connected to the block, or a ground source? Or do I have a weird intermittent issue with the starter solenoid? Seeing 12+ volts with the ignition in start rules out the ignition switch does it not? Kind of at a loss here at the moment.

Ok moved the starter to complete ground. Viola! It kicks over. What I am uncertain of, was it battery? Or is still the starter? I don't want to put all this back together and have the same issue. I know the battery was low, not denying that from the start of this endeavor. I've just never seen a key turn with bright dash light, no other dim lights, hearing power throughout, turning the key without anything dimming and get not crank or start. And ALL of that be caused by the battery. I'm on my way to get a new starter as we sepak.

A follow-up. Got the new starter in, everything put back together. Started like a champ!

Good to hear, so yes if you had 12v out of the TDR that means it was probably the starter, bad connections at the solenoid or battery, or a low battery.
