Default shroud for the zip-tie mod

Fellow corvette freaks,

I have just done the zip-tie mod. SOTP is definitely improved. I have not dynoed it, but power has definitely increased. My question is the following.

Has anyone attempted to build a shroud over the open airbox ?

I just cut everything I could on the stock cover so I had a perimeter frame to hold the filter and as much open space in the center for better breathing. Have dremel tool will travel....

Nope, if folks are worried, they usually use a weather strip along the front edge of the hood to keep water out of the filter. Y could cut up the stock box, but I think a hood gasket is a better idea.

Yeah, I just used some weather stripping to prevent any water dripping onto the filter. Don't but a shroud on it, it will just restrict air flow.

:iagree:

I also put weather strip under the front edge of the hood. Keeps water out of the exposed filter.
