Need Help advice with Oil loss - problem
When running hard (this has happend twice now within the last two weeks) - the dipstick is getting pushed out enough to allow oil to leak out around the top of the dispstick tube! Oil is leaking out getting on the side of the engine - and headers - smoking / terribly. Made a mess!
I have had the car serviced for every milage maintenance etc.
Is there that much pressure building up inside the engine?
The oil level before this happened was registering about 1/2 quart low.
Certainly not too much oil - I just checked it before leaving on trip.
I'm positive that the oil dipstick was puched in firmly all the way!
I actually noticed it when I looked in the rear-view and saw a huge trail of smoke! Holly s... I thought!!
