Everytime somebody asks about doing brakes I try to tell them to grease the slide pins when they do the brakes. I just found from the guy at our local shop that "dry" or corroded slide pins will cause the brake pedal to pulse along with accelerated pad wear.
I never thought about it but if the slide pins can't slide the calipers can't float and the slightest amount of runout will be felt in the pedal. So make sure those slide pins get greased whether you do it yourself or a shop does it.

Funny you mention that. I had the car out when it was -2 degrees last week. The engine must gain 50 HP while the tires aren't interested in sticking at all. Must be what it was like with an L88 and those old skinny tire of the late 60s.
