When you turn off the wipers they move straight up.. When you set them to delay, they pause in the proper down position.. My wife says this happened a few days ago, but 'forgot' to tell me until I drove it today.. Imgine that..
does pulse, low, high all work as normal?also the washers?ould be a couple of possibilities depending on what works and what doesn't.did this happen after rain/snow melt?
As far as I can tell, everything works like it should.. Except, when you turn them off.. They move down, and just before they slip below the hood line, they pop back up to a nearly perfect verticle position..
And yes, this happened in cold weather/snow.. It sits in a parking garage in the day, my garage at night, road hazards back and forth :)
ok,you said your wife noticed this.ask your wife if she turned on the wipers and if they stuck to the windshield for a second.if so,the plastic park arm in the wiper motor cover circuit board probably broke for the park switch.
park is controlled by the park switch inside the wiper motor, which tells the wiper control module to park the wipers.the only way to check this is to take the wiper motor off the car and take it apart to see if the pin/park switch broke.to make sure it isn't the stalk switch[i doubt it,but they have been known to go bad].if you unplug the wiper motor, you should see 5 wires.1 black[ground],yellow, green, purple, and gray[don't swear me to the colors, but i think i'm close].anyway with the key on and the stalk switch off,you should only have power on the yellow wire.with key off,you should have no power on any wire.if this is ok,the switch is fine.more than likely you are pulling the wiper motor/control module off.
Ok, wife drove it today and half way to work she had to use the wipers.. Used them, turned them off, they went down and stayed down..
Came home from work, used them, now they stay up again.. Very strange.. I told her to call the dealer and take it in.. The car only has 5k miles on it..

Glad to hear that you are under warranty........after all is said and done......let us know what the cause of the problem was.
Ok, just got the car back from the shop.. It was a broken crank arm.. Not sure why it would worl occasionally, but they fixed it under warranty in a couple of hours.. So all is good..
well, except for the fact they were shocked that we were actually driving it in this weather :)
Thanks to everyone that offered suggestions and help..
