I got some speed bleeders. When comparing the speed bleeders to the stock bleeder valve, you can see the speed bleeder is shorter. I know I have the right one as we looked it up in the book and it threads in ok. It just seems to stop screwing when the threads run out. I screwed it in a long ways. I'm worried.

If you got the SB1010 which is 1.35" long it should be fine for stock C5 calipers. I have had mine for several years with no problem. Just be sure you didn't get the SB1010S (the "S" is for short) which are only 1.23".
There is a little check ball in them that allows you to pump the brake pedal to get the air out, but not let any air back in. I don't have mine installed yet, but know people that do and they work great. Don't need a second person to bleed your brakes.
