Default BFG KDW tires

Anyone run these on a C5? I used the Comp TA ZRs on my 98 Camaro and found them excellent. Are the KDWs equivalent to the ZRs?

Thanks

I have the kdw on my 2000 and like them. They balanced easy with very litle weight. I think this is a sign of a good tire. Great traction on wet and dry. Night and day difference from the runflats, but I guess anything is better. Around 800 shipped from tire rack. I have read that the kumos are good but they wear out faster.

Thanks for the response.

How do they compare in road noise to the run flats? I'm about ready to nab a set while discount is offering 60 off a set of 4.

People on the Tire rack said they gripped like a dream in the rain or when its wet, but have unbelievable noise :smash:

Take a look at:

Also the fastest wearing tire was the Goodrich:
"While expected to provide equivalent real world highway tread life, the g-Force T/A KD's superior performance on the track did come at a cost, as it was the fastest wearing of the three tires in our high stress track test."

It's a good tire, more compliant, better grip in wet and dry, and much quieter than the crappy runflats. Don't confuse the KDW with the KD's, the KD's are a better dry weather tire, the KDW is decent in dry and much better than the KD's in the wet. Confused?

To unconfuse the confused, KD's are a "Dry" tire and KDW's are "Dry Wet"

Sounds like KDWs then, they are only a bit more than the Nitto 555s I was also considering.

Now the question is do they still make them?
