Default Small Red Puddle

I noticed a small red puddle under the front of my car the other day. It appears to be trans fluid but the tranny is in the back. Does the power steering use trans fluid? It was about 1 foot inside the left front tire. Not sure exact position front to back. I don't see a leak at the clutch, brake reserves or rack that is down from above. Thought I would ask before crawling underneath.

Sounds to me like a coolant leak! GM uses Dexcool and its an orangish reddish color! Check for leaks around hoses and the radiator.

Good Luck!!

Use a Tampax to plug the hole and you should be good. ;)

PS fluid is likely, or coolant. Get it up on a lift and have a good look around.

This may sound bad but I am a chemist, coolant is really easy to tell, just taste it. It will taste sweet. No oil in a stock car should be red except the tranny but like you said that is in the back. Good luck.

Coolaid turns out your right. My wife parked in my spot without my knowing. Her car has the trans leak. Well I still have to fix it but its not my vette.
