Thinking of going with an aluminum flywheel. How would this affect driveability? Can I do this without changing the clutch too? Pros? Cons?
You can do this w/o changing the clutch. If your flywheel is new, fine. If it's used, make sure to get it resurfaced first. BUT, since you're in there and have to r/r the clutch, why not upgrade or at least get a new one?
The aluminum will not affect drivability but will allow the engine to rev slightly faster. Chris
It seems like a waste of time unless your clutch is fairly new. I agree with Chris. You might as well just replace the clutch while you are in there. Just an opinion. kaley
