Racing overhaul kit, with red eagle frictions, and kolene steels
200$
Kevlar Racing Band 2/4
30$
Trans Filter
6$
Now I also replaced all the electronics which you don't need to unless there is a problem but I am **** like that..
Master Solenoid Kit (all shift soleniods, pressure solenoid, tcc solenoid)
100$
Manifold Pressure Switch (also contains the temp sender in same unit)
40$
I also added a Trans Go shift kit
80$
There were a few other things I changed that didn't need to be.. such as the 2 sprag (one way clutch) assemblies..
So you could spend 240$ on parts.. then 140$ for electronics and if you want a shift kit 80$ so total would be close to 500$ in parts for a good perf. build.. not including torq converter, which could be 200-800 bucks... 200 for a cheap reman and 800$ for a vigilante high stall converter..
I myself probably spent 1350$ thats includeing my 800$ vigilante converter.. and my trans shifts pretty kick AXX...

Thanks for the info, unfortunely I don't have the knowledge to rebuild, so I'm looking for someone to rebuild for me. I just got a quote from Armstrong Transmission Shop and this guy wants $2 grand. What do u think about that price? Do you know of any good shops in Dallas for this type of rebuild?

2$ Grand sounds about right for a stock 4l60E rebuild. As for a shop in texas, that I'm not sure about I would make a post in the regional section for a reccomendation.
