Anyone using wheel spacers ??? Good idea or not ???
I installed the Z06 functional rear brake duct kit and am getting some minor wheel rub on the passenger side. It is because I am running 295/35-19's on the Z06 Motorsport wheels. Doesnt look like I can "adjust" anything so I guess my only option is wheel spacers. This doesnt seem to be a common thing on the forum so befor ei go ahead and try to custom order some are there any opinions if I should try to avoid doing this (relaibility, handling, etc.) ???

If you gotta do spacers, at least:
1) Make sure they are custom made, hubcentric spacers. You want one that tightly fits the hub so that its perfectly centered all the time.
2) Keep it short, I think 300-350 thousanths is as much as I'd go. Any more than that, and the wheel wont be hubcentric anymore.
3) Install longer studs

I am using 1/4 inch wheel spacers in the back with my 335 on my ccw's. If I don't, I rub when I am loaded at it bounces. I haven't had any problems doing so, but don't know what it will do in the long run.

the wheel MUST be supported by the wheel hub projection NOT the studs. wheel spacers must be thin enought to allow the wheel to be supported by the hub projection or the spacer must fit the hub and then have a projection that fits into the hub bore in the wheel. :chevy
