I have been looking for a good exhaust for my a4 and everyone seems bent on the corsa or the borla and from what I have heard of them they are more high toned like a honda then deep muscle car sounding. I have heard a flowmater system on a friend of mine's custom car(454 with 3" pipes) and it has a good bass sound. Flowmaster makes mufflers for the c5 but i was wondering if anyone had used these before. I want my car to sound like it was in American graffiti not the Fast and the Furious. Can anyone help??
I have the Flowmaster Force II system (Stainless Tips) on my C5. It is the better of the two systems made by them. Flowmasters on the Vette will sound different than most of the street cars out there due to the short tailpipes of the Corvette. Most C5 systems have the Mufflers at the extreme rear(stock) position. Borla has a shorty Stinger systems with mini Mufflers moved forward-LOUD!
Look around check out what you like-I got mine because of a great deal and like the sound not too loud at cruise but barks at full throttle. Mufflers are not stainless but are mostly hidden anyway and the aluminized steel will last about as long. Performance gains about the same for all of them.
