If the intent was to gain HP, I would not waste money on this mod. If the intent was to increase the cooling, I would consider it...

:iagree:
One thing I have never understood about this mod, as far as gaining power by going to an electrical rather than mechanical water pump, is the fact you still must create the power to run the pump. That power is not created by the alternator at 100% efficiency, nor used by the water pump's electric motor at 100% eficiency. There are significant losses associated both with producing, and utilizing, that power. I can't speak for the increase in cooling, I just question the supposed power gain. Maybe there's something I'm not aware of in the design or use of these pumps. Doesn't make any sense to me.

I don't have one, but it works on the same prinicpal as the ud pulley; less parasitic loss. You don't gain any power from the motor, but you use less of what you have to turn the accessories. I'm pretty sure they're worth 5-7 rwhp now that the motor doesn't have to turn the water pump.

I agree 1000% :iagree: :iagree: :iagree:
There is no free lunch......
I wanted to test the Meziere EWP out back-to-back to see if there were any hp gains, so I went to MMT in Dallas on Saturday and dynoed with the stock water pump and then the Meziere.
Damn, those differences are too small to tell if there's an increase on it. The difference between same setups on different runs is bigger some times.
