Your Vette looks beautiful set up like that. With the 19/20s and the lowering you have done, how would you describe the ride in comparison to the stock setup? Weighing the pros and cons, what are the cons?
Tires are about the same overall diameter as the stock 17/18's, so no TC/AH issues and little to no speedometer error. Wheels are offset to be the same as stock Z06 wheels and fit flush with the fenders. They don't stick out, and don't require tubbing.
Ride quality is excellent, almost no diifference from stock (runflats). The lowering also had little to no effect on the ride. Slight road imperfections like expansion strips, etc can be felt more, but overall, the ride is completely comfortable.
Handling feels tighter and much more responsive, somewhat "twitchier" on the freeway but by no means objectionable.
Traction is ok, slightly better than the runflats, but that ain't saying much...ANYTHING is better than the runflats.
I have about 10k miles on this setup, including a cross country trip last summer. It was daily driven last year until the snow arrived.
There really aren't any downsides to 19/20's that I can think of, and the only people that claim there is have never run these sizes. No, It's not the ideal performance setup, and I knew this beforehand, I did it mainly for looks.
Man, I love your car. Is that 504RWHP with Nitrous?
Thats without the nitrous, I havent even used the juice yet, it's a direct port fogger system, it should put me up around 750 rwhp on a 250 shot!
