broke another 4l60e transmission!!!!!!
What is the problem? The first transmission lost 2nd gear and the 2nd transmission grinds and slips. I installed the TCI wider 2nd gear band, 2-4 super servo kit, and shift improver kit in a new transmission and it lasted about 200 miles. The transmission broke after leaving the shop where I was having my computer recalibrated for the new gear and 5 wire MAF conversion. The tuner said my trans calibration was like nothing they had ever seen and we should go back to a stock calibration and start over because it would be easier to do this than it would be to try to fix what another tuner had done. Could this be my problem???? :banghead: :U

Man I hear your pain, it takes a while to get these things right. I have been through 4 of them and a couple of tranny shops, with many upgrades.

Alot of them wear the valve body and leak pressure my trans man reams the v/b puts larger valves for various problems you need 250psi line pressure at wot for positive clutch engage. Rogers automotive Chantilly VA 703 631-4242 ask for Wayne only.

It's unfortunate..But your only kidding yourself if you just don't rebuild the whole transmission with heavy duty performance parts. The weakest link will always be there and you will continue to :banghead: ..I've been there and I know it';s NOT fun..Try..www.transmissioncenter.net

Sorry about your headaches. I would suggest time to call CHUCK at FLP and go back to a normal set up with the tuning, etc, as these darn 4L60E are just too finicky and weak. :cheers:
