question about headers and heat?
This might be the stupid question for the 9th day of Feb 2004.
Am I correct in saying that headers allow better air flow ?
If that's true then how come there's more heat generated and higher temperatures under the hood?

I think the key word is well designed headers provide better airflow :D The reason for the extra heat under the hood is that generally aftermarket headers are made of lighter and thinner (not nessesarilly weaker) materials that allow more heat to radiate into the engine compartment.
