Default Hypertech Question

Hey I just bought a Hypertech programmer for my 98 coupe with A4 and wanted to know pros and cons of changing the shift firmness does it hurt the tranny(decrease longevity)and since there are multiple settings which is recommended? Thanks Newbie

Clutches last longer in a tranny with firmer shifts / less slip.
I set my HPIII at 75% wich works well for me on the street.

Hey thanks for replying. So the clutches benefit but what about everything else with the increased line pressure?

High line pressure will cause tranny failure. I would advise you not to add more than 50% pressure. I would look into getting a Shift Kit" they work much better. :bs

I used the shift firmness feature but eventually installed TRANSGO shift kit. Nite vs Day difference with the kit.
