We have sold a set so far and they look great. Nice sidewall for a 17 inch tire. We sold them to a customer with a z06 and an ati procharger. He was tired of 11.30 @ 128 time slips and wanted a 10.99 time slip. :steering:
Re: Are 17" ET Streets Out Yet??????????? (Brian@ap-engineering)
I just ordered a set from Jegs. Their the only people I found that have them in stock. I bought tubes for them but I've heard that you dont need to run tubes. Is that correct?
Re: Are 17" ET Streets Out Yet??????????? (2001 Red Coupe Bandit)
I believe it's preferable to not run tubes. I can't remember where I read it. I wonder how much better my 60's will be
It depends on how well you already were hooking up. 1-3 10th's? :hurray:
Re: Are 17" ET Streets Out Yet??????????? (cyclerage23)
I run mine tubeless. I have one that leaks a little air but I only drive the to and from the track.. I haven't tried them with my new ST3500 & 3:42's but
I can't wait...
My 16 inch ET Streets are about 26.2 inches tall, I had a set of BFG DRs that were only about 25 1/2 inches tall. Mikie C said that the new 17 inch ET Streets measured about 27 inches tall.
Re: Are 17" ET Streets Out Yet??????????? (cyclerage23)
Is anyone running tubes or just installing them like radials?
There are a few things that you should be aware of; If you run tubes in a drag tire, and don't screw the tire to the rim, it's possible to cut the valve stem if the tire turnes on the rim at launch. If you want to run a thin sidewall drag tire without tubes; coat the inside of the tire with dish washing liquid.( Before mounting with Joy) this will greatly reduce or eliminate air loss. Ric
