Default All you header experts.

Yes, another thread about headers  I did a search with no luck. I need a recomendation for a long tube header with high flow cats. I have a Magnaflow system with X-pipe. The X-pipe is clamped right behind the stock cats, however the tubes are stagered so that the clamps are not next to each other. So how would the headers attach to the X-pipe? Thanks.

I JUST purchased a set of FLP Long Tubes from Shawn at LAPD (THANKS SHAWN). I have the magnaflow X as well - but you have to use the X meant for your headers and Free FLow CATS unless you want to do some welding.

The FLP system came with Headers, High FLow CATS and an x pipe that will bolt right up to my CAT back.

This really is a great way to go - and you get rid of the restrictive factory CATS - On a side note - WOW the quality of the FLP's is GREAT - I did not expect them to look so good

I will just ebay my magnaflow X pipe
:smash:

I did a search with no luck.
I just typed in "header" selected "C5 Tech" and "recent topics" and got a bunch of returns

Thanks for the info, however the search did not answer my question.

Price's no object - LGM
otherwise, I'll go Kooks or stainlessworks
For stock cube motor stay w/ the 1 3/4 primaries.

i installed slp headers + hiflo cats on my 02 coupe. also have the magnaflow x pipe cat back i purchased slp hpipe (which connects between the headers + hiflos) but it pushes the cats too far back and too wide to connect to the magnaflow xpipe . the exit side of the hiflos pipes are far enough apart to clamp on to or into 3" pipes side by side, not staggered.also the magnaflow is slip ( clamp on) on to the stock cats but too small for the 3" hiflo cats. there would be too much modification to the xpipe to make it fit so i just had 3" pipes made to bolt up to the magnaflow mufflers. the sound is great ,quality is excellent( no burbling or popping)maybe because of slp 3" hpipe ahead of the cats. but in hindsight i should have originally purchased a complete header, hiflos, xpipe and mufflers in a 3"from one manufacturer .way less hassle.

I installed the KOOKS end of December and I LOVE THEM :D :D
Definately noticed a BIG difference in Power and Torque, Straight forward installation and the car stayed pretty quiet. With the Z06 Titanium the car is very quiet unles you are WOT then the exhaust note changes but not that much. I know alot of folks here swear by the LG headers but I though they were a bit too much.

For the best power I would go with the Kooks or the TPIS 1-3/4" headers on a stock cube engine.

Why never any comments on the LPE SS headers with the flange hook ups?

I would definitely put some consideration into Stainless Works headers. They have 1 3/4" primaries, 3" collectors, 5/8" flanges and are made of 304 Stainless Steel. Their build quality and fitment is perfect. They are also the only header that comes with a lifetime warranty.

They are available on their own with flanges that can be welded in front of your stock cats, or you can by Stainless Work's mid-section X pipe with or without random tech high flow cats which runs from their headers back to your muffler system. Adding this section makes their header install a pure bolt on with no welding This center section is 3" 304 stainless as well, with a lifetime warranty.

I run their complete setup on my car, right from the headers back to their 3" muffler system.

If you are interested in pricing on the Stainless Works, please feel free to drop me an email.
