I have a 2001 6 speed coupe with the following mods, Corsa Touring exhaust with x-pipe, Vara-Ram, and LS1 Edit. I have $4,500 to spend on my car. What do you think would be the best bang for the buck. My car is a weekend car only, but I would like to improve my 1/4 mile time and just have more power! Please help!
My thoughts where either a Cam & Heads if possible for that price range including labor, or 4:10 gears and headers
Not too sure where Churchville is but we are right over the border in Jersey. Feel free to give me a call and we can put something together to fit your budget. :seeya :seeya

Chris is close and very reputable... if I had 4500 to spend on performance, he would get my money... if you want to give me 4500 dollars I can show you how to spend it so next time you have that much moneuy , you will knopw zactly what to do, and who to do it with... :cry <--- IM green with envy
Headers, x-pipe, remove cats, cat-back, 4.10 gears, valve springs with Titanium retainers, and some tuning. That's what I did at Cartek and was able to run 11's on drag radials with a non-z06 vette for less than the 4500 you have. I'd also do a cam, the extra power couldn't hurt :D .
Max
P.S.- The tuning is key!!

Just keep looking in the C/5 for sell section you can find a S/C for around that price those ATI S/C are sweet.
Just ask me- I picked up mine for $3500. Best bang for the buck- period. If you can only afford the kit now, then buy it and wait a while before you have the install/tuning done- it'll be worth the wait. I gained 154hp on 7lbs of boost
I would wait a year, save another $2500 or so and get a Lingenfelter or DRM package ............ this will be the best bang for your buck.
Believe me I have been down the road of "incremental mods" and I ended up spending much more than such a package would have gotten me and still had less power. NEVER AGAIN !!!
If you decide not to do it and do little mods over time, save this post and pull it out in a couple of years and check if I was right.
