Can anyone diagnose this problem?
The car was fine all the way home from work (35min) I came into the house and ate dinner (15min) I went outside to pull the car in the garage and ...nothing. All I hear when I open the door is a low frequency buzzing sound like something is draining the car of all its power. I tried to jump it but it could not overcome whatever is killing it.
Thanks for any assistance.

97? Might just be the battery went south. By the way i see you are local. Throw a battery in there and come race with us tommorow at the Corvette Challenge. Bob

Same (or similar) thing happened to me. Parked my '02 coupe in the garage after work...went to change clothes...came back out ready to go to a local club event only to find my car totally dead. :banghead:
Propose you pull your current battery and get it tested. If the battery even has the slightest indication of being the culprit, replace it. Put a new AC Delco 78P-7YR Professional Platinum in mine...no roblems. Recommend you go for either that model or an Optima Red- or Yellowtop...seen plenty of 'Vettes w/ any of 'em, but it seems many go for Optima Redtops when replacing a C5's battery...will probably go that way myself when it's time to replace the Delco. :seeya
The buzzing is probably a relay in the passenger side fuse box - that's how they sound when they are getting very little power. You'll hear that when you first send power to a dead battery from a charger. Really sounds like the battery is a goner, especially if it won't jump start.
Thanks guys. It's too late to do anything about it tonight, but I will get the battery checked tomorrow.
Thanks again. With any luck I'll make it to the challenge.
The battery was checked this morning and it is good. When I reinstalled it and tried to start the car, it wouldn't do anything just like yesterday except all the gauges on the HUD were flickering. Anybody experience this before?
