I have been driving mine for a couple of weeks now and am very impressed, there was no break-in period at all, drove right off, shifts are smooth, no noise--the lightweight flywheel is chrome moly and billet and the hubs on the street/strip version have sprung hubs though other models are available including a 3 disk version and single disk version, the material I got with the clutch stated that it had been tested to 15,000 rpm--they use these on the world challenge cars and found less than 5/thousands material missing off the disk after an entire season it has a lever release which keeps the pressure level with equal pressure on all areas of the disk and the dual I have is rated to 850rwtq and hp--I have no idea what retail is but they are not cheap--Roger or Joe Vinci can give you some info they are distributing them--407-292-4500-you will like this clutch--the pedal pressure is a little firmer than a stock but you will like the solid feel of this as well--at least the next time you blow a rear end or tranny you know your clutch will be ok
:iagree: how does it behave on the street in terms of chatter or being "grabby"...can you acelerate smoothly? This might be another alternative. Appreciate the help and thanks

Boy it is a work of art isn't it--I wish it were mounted somewhere it showed--using stock master and have noticed no clatter at this point--you may hear a little noise from it when it is cold and first start the car but very little and goes away quick, no break in at all, an after my spec III with its break in, clattering and not lasting very long this think is a bargain--your clutch worry days are over--
no clatter and not grabbly at all the shifts are smooth, pedal pressure is firmer but you will like it.
My car is still in the tuning stage so it doesn't idle well enough to know if I can ease it out and it will not stall, my opinion is yes it will stall like any after market clutch I have used no is no slipping clutch possible with this but it drives far better than my star III in every respect, I just make it growl a little let her out and go--when the whole drive train explodes the clutch will still be there--
FYI- We are now a distributor of the Exedy high performance clutch line. As Neptunebill accurately stated, these clutches are a whole new ball game in performance clutches and they are definately designed for high-end racing/HP street use for cars making BIG power.

It was my understanding that you could replace the disk without having to replace the flywheel and if the world challenge guys only take 5 thousands or less material of the disk during a season I don't think the majority of us will have to replace them very often--
NEPTUNEBILL-
Your correct. I'm sure you'll concur that these clutches are WAY over engineered for the power they'll support and that's why they are so durable and strong, especially for street use. :) You've got a super HD clutch there Bill and I'm sure it will live a long happy life. Good luck!
MeanGrean-
There is NO comparison. As stated before, the Exedy clutch was designed for racing applications and it's build quality certainly reflects that. What makes it attractive for the HP street use is the fact that one doesn't have to give up clean clutch engagement manners with its' use and because it's over-built for the use most cars see on the street scene, therefore, durability is excellent.
Thanks DTE--I am now looking at your tranny and rear end upgrades I thought these things were at least a year away it would appear I will be getting a cage sooner than I thought--
