Default A4 problems

I Am wanting to know if anybody on the forum & i am sure theres plenty who have made the switch over to an upgraded trans Do they sell an upgraded rebuild kit that i could do my self it sure would save me alot of money .My trans is acting up i hope its just low on fluid but when it goes from a 1st to 2nd shift u have to take your foot off the gas before it will shift .The rest of the time 3rd & 4th shifts seem fine .It will sometimes if your in 1st gear & your around 15mph when you shift the car to 2nd it will rev up to around 3 gran before it shifts. If you leave it in overdrive & let it shift on its own when 1st winds out like i said before u have to take your foot off the gas a little before it will shift .Is it goin south on me or does it sound like i am in need of some trans fluid ? Maybe a little of both i was hoping artcarr would have a master rebuild kit for it .Then i would just buy the kit & have my trans guy rebuild it for me .Any thoughts on what this might be? all replies are very much appreciated btw if i was to buy another used a4 will a 01,02,03,04, A4 fit in my 00

seems like most of the vendors want about 2 grand for a brutal trans something that will take my daily beating @ the dragstrip Or i could just buy a used one & see how long that one will give heres my conclusion to why its slipping after putting the gears & 3200 yank about 15000 miles ago i never went & had the edit done then i put LS6 intake & stage 2 heads from patriot & lg tube headers still no tune maybe i am wrong ive been wrong before so i think i will buy a used 1 500 dollars vs 2,000 looks alot better for me right now .Soon as iget it i will install the transgo & head to futural motorsports to have a tune done on it :steering:

oh my,, spent the extra,, get the rebuilt one, pay a little extra,,I have been in this situation with other cars and it always pays to put in a stronger trans...unless you absolutley cannot afford it,, I know how that feels also....

It looks like you have about $5000 in mods with no tuning, take your car to a tuner. the $500 dollar tune may fix your problem.

should i have the shift kit installed before the tune? & if it does fix the problem than thats greeaat but if not then i spent money on trans guy putting the kit in only to find out it is the trans to take it out of the car get another one then pull the shift kit out of the old one & repay him to stab the new one man what a delima  btw Is there a vendor who will sale me an upgraded a4 without having a core for a decent price i am gathering 1900 for an FLP level 4 but is that with my core i was really wanting to hold on with the one i have & do they normally when there upgraded do they use the transgo shift kit i have bought this kit awhile back but since i am thinking of putting this trans on my cc i would like for it to have akit allready in it for that kind of money it should Who besides FLP sells beefed up trans my goal for this car is to make 600 rwhp so a D1 procharger will be in the picture before the year is out
