What does this TB do for me?
GM's throttle body...
http://www.westcoastcorvette.com/sho...tail.cfm?id=80
featured at WCC on my 2001 A4 with Blackwing and GHL.
Will this get rid of the throttle lag inherent in all A4's?
GM parts direct has this for $245.
Would also need any tuning?
Thanks for any info.

What "throttle lag" are you refering to? When do you experience this throttle lag?

Well, not to sound like a smart butt but when the throttle is depressed. :D
Ya' know, when you just blip the peddle and there's that slight delay
of revving up?
As far as the TB is concerned, I see all kinds upwards of $600 with
a core charge. I'm just curious as to the value of this one?

Do you have traction control on? If so, I have heard that there is a slight lag.

It has nothing to do with your throttle body. That is common in all the A4's that I have drove. Its just the tranny revving up for passing. Kaley

Never experienced that. That's why I didn't know what you were talking about or when you were experiencing it; i.e. sitting still, 10-30 mph, 30-50 mph etc.
If you don't already, try driving around town (or below 60mph) in 3rd gear. It will be much more responsive.

That TB looks like a waste of money. If you are going for a new TB look at a Shaner unit. Mark does excellent work. There are gains to be had from a well ported TB. I am not sure I would waste my money putting the car on a dyno just to post a #. But, my throttle responce is much better after installing it.
