i have slp stainless headers coated in + out w/hflo cats .no heat problems w/setup and temp. seems close to stock . i don't feel any extra heat in driver compartment floor. i would not use uncoated headers because of possibility of early corrosion problems and replacing a set is very labour intensive. unless you have stainless. even then keeping the heat in the headers w/coating would help the cats for emission testing ,imo.
