Hey, I found ahow-to topic in the tech tips section, but the pictures came down, and it sounds kinda jumbled and sketchy. I found the 4 wire plug (plugging in a PIE cor-har) and I'm trying to find the wires for the three wire plug. I can get the constant and grounds, but the other one has me at a loss. Any suggestions? I know there is no 3-wire plug, so any pics, helpful ideas would be great.
PS- I'm trying NOT to have to pull out the radio, so I'll tap into the wires elsewhere (have the trim panel VERY hard to remove....)

My 3 pin was taped with white tape under the carpet sill. You have to pull up the door sill to find it. I did not want to remove the HU and bezel trim also, but did to install the connector to an alpine cd changer and aux input. It was not that hard, and I think I could do it now in about 5-10 mins. there are detailed instructions available. Tom

wow. can you elaborate on where you found yours? (i understand taking the sill off... i did, but couldn't find it. Where was the wire coming from, did you notice? also, I have a 1997, and from what i'm told, many 97s don't have the 3-prong cable.....

I don't remember which was the 3 pin and which was the 4 pin. One was attached to the right of the fuse box and bcm (?) box. The other was taped with whit tape under the door sill. You had to remove the plastic sill, then sort of pull up the carpet to reveal the wires running there, and there was the other one taped with white tape. It was coming from under the dash.

I might be wrong, but then again it's free advice. I think the connector on the 97-98 models is under the driver's side sill and that you really do have to tap into the wiring to make it work. I'll check my factory manual after work.

the driver's side sill? that sounds odd, but i'll go for it. Please send me some info if you can! I appreciate all you guy's help, i'm installing it (again) tomorrow around 1pm....
