I say yes. I replaced my low beams (store was out of high beams). When I go from low to high the light is yellow. The silver stars give off a clean white light and it seems brighter.
I was not at all pleased with my C5 headlights and tried every bulb of every make out there. I eventually bought the T84 Euro's with regular H4 halogen bulbs.
They are VASTLY superior to the crappy stock US units. My C4 was better.
Hell, my daughters Cavalier had better headlights.
Go with the Euro's. You'll be happy that you did.

:iagree: They make Silverstars for the euros, too (H4 bulb)
I like mine, I changed them out the day after I bought it. I have had them in my MDX for a little over a year. Just be aware that they do not last as long as a regular bulb. On the MDX forum, people usually burn out about one low beam a year. I lost one at 11 months and the other is still fine.
Pep Boys had an add for them a few weeks ago for around $16.00 a pair. In December when they had the same add, they told me it was a misprint and they wouldn't honor it. This time I went in and bought 5 pairs first thing in the morning the day the add came out, before they had a chance to figure it out. :) That was enough to do the new Vette, my ES300, and have a spare set of low beams.
I got a complete set, 2 low's and 2 high's for $ 68.00. There is a factory rebate in effect now to March for $ 5.00 per set. Net price $ 58.00. Be careful installing them as I ruined one headlight capsule. Cost $ 60.00. Silver Stars just got more expensive. Good Luck ! :mad :cry
Where do I get the T84 Euro's with regular H4 halogen bulbs~? I'm lookin' to upgrade my headlights also.
Thanks in advance for any input.

They might be better than OEM, I thought they were still inadequate. You can have mine cheap.
Go to PFYC site and get the Euro kit with 90/130 H4 bulbs and heavy harness. My wife installed it with minimal guidance. Better bang for buck than HID and you can get H4s anywhere and for cheap. Beam pattern is different from left to right and from high to low. Even running 90s on low, no one has high beam flashed me yet.
But you have to go to highs to close doors, unless someone tells me where to install a resistor to remedy the quirk.
H3 fog upgrade next when someone tells me I do or don't need to upgrade non-export harness to run 100s in them.
Bought mine from Ecklers. Part # 41344 LH, 41343 RH and (2) 41776 wiring harnesses. Pg 47 Fall/Winter Catalog , 1-800-327-4868
These are the European T84's equipped with the Std H4 Haolgen bulb.
You can buy a conversion kit to go to HID's but it is $$$$.
For my needs the H4's bulbs are fine.
I love the beam pattern these lights give.
Somewhere on this forum is a thread with detailed installation instructions.
If you get to that point let me know and I'll figure out where those instructions are.
Gonzo, sorry for the confusion. The Euro T84's are the complete headlight replacement assembly. Not just the bulbs. The lens (glass) & housing. The assemblies plus the adaptive wiring harness (2) came to around $250. The assemblies are delivered with
plain jane H4 bulbs

Link to install directions at pfyc site. Was like $300 for 55/60s included/installed in housings from factory and 90/130 PIAAs added to package. Nice having the 55/60s for carry spares.

:iagree: I replaced both low and high - seems brighter and definitely whiter. So my vote is yes and it's really not much hassle to replace the headlamp bulbs.
ahhh you people that complain....then dish out the dough and get hid's, and with all the bulbs you will change out you could have bought hids, you wont really need high and low, because low is like high already! you can get them from 400+, they are great! i had them on my accord, i had some phillips once that were 4100k, and they were really white but lit up my whole neighborhood, planning on doing this to the vette soon!
dont know how hard...didnt do it...one tricky thing is where to mount the ballasts...in certain cars with not a lot of space back there it can be tricky, i paid 90 bux to get them installed on the other car......might be a little more on a vette. (corvette tax) and on where to get them..not really sure, try hids4less.com or search on ebay, just get quality, like phillips and dont get no name brands...cuz they are pos's
