For C5 or any other car for that matter - The short tube or shorties, are not full length headers, the actual length of the header tubes (primaries) is really short -this is great for street rods and cars where clearence is a big problem. Long tubes have longer runners. I am not sure of the actual cut off between long, mid and short tube header. Long tubes give more power gains than mid or short and in different rpm ranges.

just to confuse things, I do not think that there any true Long tubes for C5's out -I am pretty sure most of the "Long Tubes" are really mid length..... But that is left over from my old hot rodder days when long tubes were LONG tubes - this may not be the case anymore.......

Short tubs will not give you the HP increase that long tubes will. :smash: :smash:

If 32 inch primaries aren't long tubes, I'd like to see what is..... ;)

32" is fine - in fact they go as high as 38" on a Z06 - however some like the Kooks are 25" -that is more of a mid length

In fact here is a good thread

I think the LG's are considered true long tubes. I am not sure what the length is on them. You will have better gains if you run long/mid tubes. Kaley
