I now have alot more respect for the C32, pretty much walked a stock C5 today from 60-130. 3 to 4 cars. Must be a auto C5 with 2.73.
The Vette in first gear is a waste, no traction above 4000 rpm. I will put on the drag radials on Wednesday after the heads. Going to start saving for a new tranny!
With 349 hp and 332 ft/lbs of torque (300+ between 2300 and redline) the C32 is no slouch. I have heard of 0-60 times of 4.6 seconds and quarter mile times as fast as 13.0 @ 107 and that is with the 5-speed auto. I would expect the new 6-speed manuals to be a bit quicker.
I tangled with a C32 once and it was a lot harder to put in its place than a M3. All out on a roadcourse the superior brakes of the C32 would eventually win out over me as mine start to fade making me have to slow for the corners earlier.
