OK, lets see what you guys have. The search function has taken a dump again so trying to research with previous post is pretty much impossible.
Please answer in the following format -
1) What do you have?
2) Who installed it?
3) What was the cost for both the parts and the installation?
4) Does it live up to your expectations? What are your driving experiences with the new clutch?
Hopefully we can get a lot of good replies here and use this thread as future reference when someone esle ask the same question.
I am having a SPEC II/III Hybrid clutch installed. I don't know anything about the Cartek system. I know several have it and love it. For me streetability was important and the ability to hold big power which apparently this system will.
Quite a few have SPEC systems and love them so I'll see if mine works as well as theirs. Also SPEC has quite a few options depending on use.
I had a RAM VDS with the 910 disc in the car but had some problems with it at the track. It also was very touchy on the street with the 910 disc, but I learned to drive around it ok.
Well, I'm moving on from the RAM to the Exedy Twin Plate Racing Clutch.
I think it's in another league compared to the rest of them.
Check my sig. I'm very happy with my setup, although it beat the installer up a bit due to vibration issues which are now resolved. ECS did the whole package for me. Did the whole thing for $2500 installed. That incluced, SPEC Stage 3 clutch and aluminum flywheel, 4:10 gears, hardened output shaft, and Chris allowing me to torture him for 4 weeks :reddevil :D

Well, I'm having it installed by ARE probably next week so I'm not sure the install cost because I am having the entire drivetrain replaced (clutch, tranny, torque tube, etc. ) Sort of a package install deal. As for the cost of the clutch.........hmmmmm, I bought it from Tigershark (vendor)here on the Forum and he had the best price by far and gave another 10% off too. I also am installing a SPEC billet aluminum flywheel I bought from Tigershark. I dealt with Keith and he was apleasure to work with. Very nice guy, great price, and great service. I can get back to you on the exact cost but the info is at work and I won't be there until Monday. Sorry. Let me know if you want that info and I can get it Monday.

Brian what was wrong with your 910? I just installed a VDS 910 with aluminum flywheel in my car but I havent driven it yet.
I had some of the material (sintered iron) come off the disk and weld to the flywheel. due to excessive heat. may not have let it cool down enough between runs. I can be rebuilt easy enough, but I don't want that problem to re-appear so I am going with what I think is probably the best clutch on the planet....The Exedy Twin Plate, it has cerametallic material for the discs. and has been run hard at the track with almost no wear(like .005" in a full season)
and has excellent streetability. It costs more, but I think it will be worth it
I am currently running a RAM VDS 980. I had a RAM VDS 910 before but the chatter was real bad during street driving and eventually I think it led to the death of my torque tube. When I replaced the torque tube I sent the 910 disk back to be rebuilt as a 980, which is a bit more streetable.
I can honestly say I have no faith in ANY aftermarket LS1 clutch!
Hopefully I will make it through this whole season with no clutch issues, but if I don't, I will be buying an Exedy Dual Disk like Flyin Brian.
You guys will all love the exedy I think I am the first c5 to have one and there is not one bad thing I can say about it--no breakin--has a lever release system that keeps wear even throughout, comes with a lightweight chrome moly/billet flywheel--smooth shifts, been tested to 15,000 rpm you can replace a single disk etc flywheel is forever, little more pressure on the pedal but you will love it--
Spec Stage III Carbon w/ Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel. Think I got it from LAPD when Sean was working there. Around $800-900. Clutch is awesome, pullled 1.60 60' on CCW Drag Package first time out on a non-prepped track. No hint of slippage. One of the things I like is the pedal pressure is very close to stock which is confusing how well it holds so much power. I have had it about 1.5 years now and not one problem. Would buy again in a heartbeat as long as I stay under 750 crank hp/tq.

Cartek with adjustable master and slave installed by dealer cause the Z06 clutch they put in under waranty failed. I paid ~$550 for the parts and they put it in.
The clutch is great, no slip reasonably light pedal and no issues.

Cartek must have changed their clutches. The last cartek clutch I drove was a much harder pedal than the spec or stock. Not that it is a bad thing...
