We just got are first fast intake in the other day. I saw the intake at the PRI show in Indy and like it. They made small but good changes, we have cut into LS6 intakes and found horse power. The intake comes in a nice box with nice instructions and is well put together. We are in middle of putting the intake on a 427 cub motor, it should make horse power with the 90 mm opening. I'll keep you posted.
Re: LS6 intake vs FAST intake.... (Gene@FredBeans)
I think at this point it will be FAST vs LS2 intake... soon..

Im little confused.. when u say LS2 you are talking about the C6 intake correct? Does this mean that the C6 "LS2" intake will work on our C5s?
Sorry it took awhile to post our results. Anyways now for the real test we made base line runs with the LS6 intake and got it tuned. Then Mike in the shop put on the fast intake with the 90mm hole and we pick up 22 horse and 22 foot pounds of tourqe. The calibration went alittle off with the fast intake. So back to work.
Randy what TB did you use for the test--very impressive results--I am tuning the setup in on my 436 this, just got a 90mm TB and looking for any comparison to test my tuning with--thanks Bill
Wondering how these two compare to each other?
Thanks guys
I cannot speak for the big ci motors but for stock displacement gains looks to be 6-10RWHP on a back to back compassion with the LS6 intake (stock and 78mm TB). There are tons of post over at the LS1tech forum on it... Considering the price ($750-800) I would say this is a mod for the big motors....
You will find a bigger gain on the strokers because of what they are lacking not what the intake is adding--the real test is probably on the smaller ci cars it shows what power the unit really adds--my stroker is drawing 5 inches of vacuum at WOT--just eliminating this would give me considerable gains--I still wonder what TB they used on the test in this post since the 90mm tb's are just available I am wondering if they had access to one in time for this test--
Who has the best price on the 78mm throttle body Fast Manifold? I have seen a wide array of prices out there. I am a firm believer in doing the cam swap at the same time. Maybe a Comp #54-412-11 I have a stock LS1. Phil Swanson
