Valve Lifter Problems?
Hello my father is the owner of a 98 c5 vert. It is an Automatic with minor enhancements. B&B Tri-Flow exhaust system, Rear performance axle, KxN induction system, Chrome lettering and chrome exhaust plate between exhaust pipes.
I doubt any of the problems are related with these enhancements but the car has 31k miles. Car has never had a problem, however on occasion a "knocking sound" is heard under the hood. The car is an automatic and when the rpm needle hits 1500 going up or down the knocking is heard. its quick but noticible. Im thinking its somthing with the lifters or valve timing. Well any info would be greatly appreciated. My dad thinks its a bad lifter and i told him i would try to get some info fo rhim and help him out.
