Default LS1 Edit question

OK, I have a "stock" 99 FRC with the few mods listed below. Will having the LS1 edit done to the car improve performance at all? If yes, what benefits or gains can I expect to see? Is there anyone in SC that does this? How much does it cost? Thanks for any answers......

Jay. I have a 2000 FRC with 7500 miles on it. The biggest gain was the exhaust at 10 RWHP, & 10 RWT, not to mention the great sound and weight savings.
The Blackwing and LS1 edit were dyno'd together, so I don't know exact readings for each one. Stock was 293.5 RWHP, and 311.0 RWT. Final was 313.5 RWHP, and 320.0 RWT.
The engine, I was told, would make more power with more miles on it.
The A/F is right where it should be, so I know everythings on the mark.
Worth the money. At about $1500.00 including parts and the numerous dyno runs, yes it was. :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:

I have Blackwing, Air Coupler, TR55 Plugs, MSD Wires and had LS1 Edit installed after. Here are the Dyno #'s before and after. I also had the A4 programmed to shift at higher RPM's and to shift harder. No need to have a Transgo Shift Kit installed when you can have it programmed through LS1 Edit. Only cost me $300. :thumbs: :thumbs:

:yesnod: I think you have a chance to see some nice gains. I tuned at the same place JCL did, starting at 293 hp and 305 torque. Added exhaust that took me to 303 and 315, the air filter and LS1 Edit topped me out at 319.9 hp and 337 lbs./ft. torque. I have 50K miles on mine.

Sounds Like a Plan. There is a place here in Columbia with a dyno but won't get LS1 Edit. Says he can't justify the cost....told him Vette owners in Columbia alone would pay for the cost of the software!! :banghead:

I think u will see an improvment with an LS1 edit but with the mods you Listed i would wait & if your gonna go h/c i would take the car after the head & cam install & then have an edit done to it .The guys on the board tried to tell me to wait & get the edit done after i installed the cam well i didnt wait i had to have it i have a heads only & the rest of your bolt on mods & the car dynoed on a base run before the edit @ 344 rwhp & 345 ftlbs of torque with the edit it went 357 rwhp & 380 ftlbs of torque thats with the tc locked unlocked it went 356rwhp 360ftlbs of torque thats with patriot stage 2 heads on an a4 i was told the cam will put me @ 400 rwhp the cams must really wake up the LS1

Do the manuals benefit nearly as much as the auto's though? Most of the big numbers on nearly stock cars have been from auto people.

Default LS1 Edit question (Black99Corvette)

SC Vettes;

If any of you are looking to buy LS1 Edit then I can help you from a tuning standpoint. I do a lot of work in conjunction with ATS the dyno here in Columbia. Email me at: DTSNGIT@bellsouth.net with any questions. My Club here in Columbia (www.capitolcitycorvetteclub.com) has a lot of us running with LS1 Edit.....
