Cam Info needed again.....
What is the largest cam that someone has put in without cutting the pistons??I am looking to buy Comp Cams 228/232 duration 595/588 lift. Has anyone used this cam on a stock bottom end. If yes what kind of problems did he or she have if any.

Re: Cam Info needed again..... (WideopenC5)
I know for a fact that with stock heads you can run a LGM G5 X2 cam with specs of 232/240, .609 lift on a 112, 113 or 114 lsa, and that is considerably more aggressive than the cam your looking at and with proper tuning it will be 100% streetable and will make big power thoughout the rpm band. Also, the G5x3 with slightly more aggessive specs which have not been released yet by LGM can also be run with stock unmilled heads if ordered on a 114 lsa cam. This cam put down 427 rwhp with stock ls6 heads and proper bolt ons on GODSPEEDS car!!!
