Default Gears & Headers

How much should it cost for parts and installation, for a set of 4:11 gears? Also how much should it cost to get a set of T.P.I.S. long tube headers installed? :steering:

Call Criss on the gears 1-609-752-0321 very good price and well known but you gota drive to NJ. On the headers Nate @ 1-806-771-0205 gave me the best price I could find.

In NJ crom either of two tuners you are going to get a price of about 900-1,100 from what I have gotten. I am hoping for someone closer.

Have you tried giving Bob Moss a call at Dragon's Breath Performance in Knoxville TN?

You can save some money by having a rear end specialist change the gears, as opposed to buying a complete unit from an on line source. Also, it is a lot more convenient to just drop the car off in the morning and pick it up that night. I am having mine changed to 3.90s for about $1200 parts and labor combined. It's real easy to spend more. If you are going to drag race you should consider hardened output shafts for about $200. If you're just playing on the street now and then, you could get away with upgraded shafts for about $60

Everyone uses the same gears - there is only one manufacturer for 3.90 and 4.10 C5 gears. Depending on the age and condition of your current rear end you may have to spend more (my car only has 5,000 miles so the bearings do not have to be replaced, for instance).... Good luck.
