Ok... I purchased 2 Michelin Pilot sport tires from a forum member about 6 months ago. They are the stock 2K2 C5 front tire size. This week i went to puchase the rear tires and have all four installed.

I have found that Michelin no longer makes a "Generic" Pilot sport in this size. They only make a version for Ferarri, and Mercedes. Michelin has informed me that the "generic" front tires i have cant be mixed with the MO (Mercedes) and K1 (Ferrari) rear tires. Does anyone know anything about this. I hate to no use two perfectly good 245's for the front just because I can't find the exact rear match.

These tires are the standard summer tire. Not the ZP or AS versions. The dicontinued part number I need is 41695, nobody seems to have this tire any longer.

I spoke with Tire Rack, on their system a $318 pilot sport comes up when you look up tires for the corvette, but they say this is not the proper tire for the Corvette, and it should not be used.

What should I do. I think im just going to buy the mercedes tires and put them on the vette along with the front. Any thoughts.

In addition after the way I was treated by Michelin...I suspect this will be my last michelin purchase.
