Default Need Info on the Evans water pump!

Looking for some information on the Evans water pumps. I see that they offer a rebuilt pump or a new casting and was wondering what the difference is, if any. Also I understand that there thermostat is the only one to use as it will handle the 80 gal/per min that the modified pump moves.

Apparently the stock pump starves the right bank from proper cooling capacity over 5000 rpms. We just had a problem with a large displacement motor that overheated the #1-#3 and #5 cylinders after a road race event that pushed oil temperatures to almost 300 degrees! Darton has done some extensive testing with this problem as they designed there MID sleeve setup.

Any purchased one of these yet?

There is a GP going on this water pump over on LS1tech in the corvette section. I was thinking about getting one, but looking to see if anyone has installed one yet.
