milled LS1 heads, how big can I go with cam?
I'm looking at a set of milled heads(to 63cc) How large of a cam can I go with before I have to worry about piston to valve clearance?
thanks

W/ a cut of .030", you should be able to use a cam w/ .550" lift. I have done this w/ no probs. Unfortunately, I do not know the formula for computing the p/v clearance precisely.

Any one? How much did you mill your heads before you had to have the pistons cut??

Yes I have been looking at the TEA 5.3 heads milled .30.
I was under the impression that my "small" .566 lift cam would fit no problemo.
What is the lift on the TR 224 ? I did not think you have to flycut to run that w/ milled heads.
Also if anyone knows what is the desired octane with such a set up ?
