I have the Kuhmo Ecsta MXs on my 98 coupe. I purchased a set after reading all of the positive reviews on tirerack.com. I have been very pleased with the Kuhmos, especially for the price. They grip much better than the Goodyear run flats that they replaced. I went with the non run-flat Kuhmos, big difference in the way they ride and handle, much smoother. I would highly recommend them. The only con would be wet weather performance. They do not seem to do as well as the factory Goodyear run flats in the rain. Check out the reviews on Tirerack.com. Several vette owners have posted positive reviews on these tires.

If so, which one? Pros & Cons please.
I do a lot of roadcourse time and also street. Really good tire for the money. My only complaint is the rather odd graphics on the sidewall. But for the bang for the buck I'll live with it.

Ecsta MX, non-runflats. Heck of alot better than the crappy goodyears, though I'd be interested in how the Kumho runflats ride :smash:
Pros- ride, handling, noise, cost
Cons- bring a AAA card and/or air compressor/patch kit
 Ride On

I have used these with a good mix of street and open track days, and I think they are excellent, especially for the money. Wear seems to be decent, and the grip is good too. Seems to be a reasonable wet tire as well. No complaints here.
I just wish they made one larger than 295, but I can't afford the $400/tire options that have 335 rears..., so I'll probably be going with another set when these are gone.
275/17 and 295/18 are the sizes I'm running, on Z06 wheels, FWIW.

had the fronts side by side with my emt tires and the kuhmo is about a half inch taller in oem sizes. I will go with a 255 40 17 next time in the MX.

I love my Ecsta MXs. They're a million times better than the F1's in the wet, super super sticky at auto-x, and performed graat at VIR this past weekend. Also they're relatively cheap :yesnod: I'm going to get a set for my track tires and another set for the street when they wear out.

MX's in factory sizes. I echo all the repsonses above, plus you lose all the road noise of the EMT.
