What is the going labor rate for a cam swap?

its all gonna depend on who installs the cam .I had a quote from futural motorsports & thats who is installing my cam for 750.00 & thats not including the cam .as far as the heads swap id say around 350.00 to 600.00 600.00 is on the high side , i say do the head swap your self & save the labor expensive go over to LS1howto.com & u will find alot of good info on how to install a set of heads & a cam on your c5

I recently talked to Dave at MTI and he said he could put their X1 cam in my car including before and after dyno and tuning, cam, springs, retainers, push rods, gaskets, etc....out the door for 1700-1800 bucks. So if you look at the price of the cam and all the other stuff, thats about 750 bucks for the install and tuning on the cam.
