Just make sure they give you a rental. It wasn't until day 20 I found out I could get a car...vette owners get rentals when their car is in for service!
Once I got the rental, it was strange....my car was done the next day!
Also it is important that you took it to a reputable dealer. Not just anyone can rebuild these transmissions. I got mine back and immediately noticed a problem!!!!!!! 2 days later it froze up and stuck in gear!
I took it to another dealer (corvette specialized), and without hesitation they put a brand new tranny in and did it in less then 24 hours. In at 6:00PM out by 3:00PM the next day!
Don't feel to bad man..... I think my dealer has parts delivered by horse and buggy... I gave them my car a couple of days before the end of January, and they still have it.. They are doing a few other things, fuel pump, clutch, oil pressure sender, etc.. They couldn't get the right parts ordered at first, so it is taking longer.... It sucks, but hopefully I will get it back in the next few days......
I recently had my tranny rebuilt. I sent it across the country and still had my car back in less then week.
Get in there and let them know what you want!
