I have a 2002 coupe, MN6 H/C car making around 420 rwhp. I do not want to go overboard but I do not want to wish I had got more. Anyone with experience with both? I am leaning more toward 390 because I am afraid 410 may be to much. It will be 95% for street driving only. Very little days at the strip. Thanks for the help.

Well it depends on what you mean by too much.
I would say with a M6, definitely the 4.10s. On a M12, maybe not.
Unless you are worried about traction on the street (you shouldnt have any anyway with 425rwhp), I say get 4.10s. They wont be a problem as far as too high rpm on the freeway.

I have a both for sale in the for sale section. I posted in your thread over there. I would recommend 3.90's with an M6 as that seems to be the concensus.
Eitherway if you are interested, let me know.

I'm going with 4.10s. I wouldn't be satisfied knowing I didn't go all the way! I just hope I still like myself in the morning.

I chose 390s because I am 99% street with H/C, then they worked great with the blower motor and now work great with the stroker--at the time I was thinking of turning up the boost and with the 390s I could safely run 4th to 135mph without a 5th shift--If you are staying H/C 410s may work better for you--if you are thinking you may add spray, FI or more cubes you may be better off with the 390s--

Since you have a coupe with the M6, then definetely go with the 4.10s. The Z06s has better street manners with the 3.90s because of the aggressive ratio of the M12. however, i went all the way myself..

I respectfully disagree 1000% as the consensus for a M6 is clearly 4.10s over 3.90s. Now the consensus on a z06 (m12 tranny) and A4 trannys are probably 3.90s for the average street driven vette!

If you don't drag race then I guess it doesn't matter.

I went from 3:73's to the 4:10's. The 4:10's are perfect (IMO) for a H/C setup on an M6.
WHAT do you think i have been trying to tell you guys all along here!!!! :yesnod:  In all sincerity though, if you go with 4.10s and you want to drag race then you will have to bump your rev limiter up to around 6800 or so so you don't run out of gear as you don't want to be shifting into 5 th gear going down the old 1320!. With most aftermarket cams this is done automatically with your ls1 edit tune, as you have the upgraded valvetrain to handle the extra rpms which are also needed to get the most HP out of your afermarket cam application.
