Anybody put stock size tires on 9.5" , 10.5" width rims?
I just bought a set of kumho's in stock C5 sizes and now I have a problem with a cracked wheel. I've been thinking about getting some chromies, and I would like to go with the z06 width rims for the next time I get some tires. Has anyone mounted them up like this? I know if I buy chromies in stock sizes I'll be upset next time I get tires.

PS, I checked tirerack.com and their chart of rim width's shows them being ok. I was just wondering if it would make it look or handle stupid? :lurk:

I was wondering about the same thing, can we mount Z06 tires on the standard non Z06 wheels ?? ( ie: 1" width difference ? ) :confused: :confused:

I did it. No problem except you don't have any protection if you rub a curb as the wheel protrudes past the edge of the tire.

Hmm, didn't really think about the curb rash issue. I might go ahead and get the wider rims anyway, If I'm gonna spend the money I'd prefer to do it once.
