Shifter Boot Part Number??

I assume that the boot comes with the plastic ring that holds it down into the console. If not, is the ring available as a separate part number?
Thanks!

At any rate, I think I'll be patching/riveting mine back together since I too have tried every glue known to man and it just won't hold!

I know your problem well. I was also looking for a replacement plastic ring and had no luck.
I found a way to fix mine. I had broken off one of the tabs and, like you, tried all different types of glue, none worked. Not enough surface area for the glue to hold and still be strong enough.
I did find a solution that you might want to try (depending on how bad yours is broke). If its just a tab, you can epoxy a small plastic brace on the inside of the ring and use the extra surface area to glue the broken piece to the brace. I used a small piece of plastic from, believe it or not, a 3 1/2 foppy diskette. I just split the diskette and cut a small piece (~ 3/4 by 1 inch) that is completely smooth. The plastic is thin enough to bend and conform to the shape of the ring.
Sanded the piece to ruff up the surface, and epoxied it to the inside of the ring itself, with half extending past the break line. This will give you alot of surface area to epoxy the broken piece to.
After gluing all the pieces together (had to use some small clamps while the epoxy set), its a stong as new.
Shoot me an email if you have any questions.
