Anyone ever upgraded the spark plugs? I was told that Bosch has a 4 prong plug that burns more efficiently and could help w/mileage gains. I asked a service tech at the dealer and he recommended NOT changing the plugs from the stock because the motor was set to certain specs. and this could throw off these specs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If those are the original plugs and they are Delco there is a good chance some of the bottom elctrodes no longer have their platinum insert and will have a wide gap and will wear out out quicker. There was a mixed supply of plugs in 99 so yours may not be the Delco. But if they are I would say it would be a good idea to replace them.
I used them in mine when I recently changed the rocker arms and added headers. I don't know if they made any improvements but I don't have any complaints. There was an article in the last few months in one of the car magazines where they used these plugs and new plug wires and showed about a 5 to 10 h.p. gain (going from memory here) on the dyno.
If your plugs are old it might not hurt to upgrade the plugs and wires at the same time.
I used them in my car. I don't know if I got an "improvement" with them but I don't have any negative issues. Kaley
:iagree: Same here. :)

:iagree: What he said. I went with them on my local shop's recommendation and have had no problems. I am going with them again as I am doing a h/c swap. The cost is rediculous, but you go with what you know works. No gapping necessary, no indexing necessary. The plugs I pulled had 7k miles on them and could easily be reused, but just doesnt make sense not to put new ones on. Give up on the delco's, at the least go with the NGK TR55's, good plug, no issues, fair price.
save your money. try AR-103 autolites. gap them at .40 superior automotive uses them in all of the ls1 & ls6 engines. If joe jill says they are good then they are!!! call him at 714-503-1880
