The PCM/ECU in our cars provides OBDII/diagnostics and engine/powertrain management.
Ls1Edit allows us to "Edit" the various lookup tables in the PCM as well as modify/turn off-on many diagnostic tests ( as well as their associated codes).
Some of the functions we can Edit are Timing and Fueling as well as the transmission shift points etc.
In order to evaluate the need for and result of Editing you will need a scanner to log various parameters ( RPM, MAP, MAF, LTFTs,O2 V etc.) and evaluate performance. EFILive and Autotap are the most popular. EFILive 6 is the best product IMHO. :yesnod:
Can anybody explain what LS1 edit is and what parameters it affects.
Sorry, still used to Buick GN's :D

Hi Bigblockquad,
Gives us a call and ask for Al…he can discuss the parameters more completely….. But, in the meantime, LS1 Edit calibrates, air- fuel – spark – timing, through software and writes to the PCM.
Additional features in LS1 edit include, but are no limited to;
Fans on/off temps
Transmission shift points
Speed and RPM limiters
VE tables for speed density tuning
MAF scaling
List goes on and on…
