Default Shifter Question

I want to replace the stock shifter on my M6. The stock shifter feels like I have to pull it too far back for 2,4,6, and I'd like to get a short throw unit. I've been looking at the Hurst (which a lot of folks recommend) and the Breathless Perf Adjustable Shifter. When the stock shifter is in 1st, there doesn't seem much room to the dash. Can the Breathless be used comfortably in the 1" of 2" forward position? Has anyone used either of these shifters? Has anyone seen any benefit from the adustable Breathless shifter (does it help)???

Don't know about the BPP shifter, but the Hurst is awesome.

I love the kirban in my dad's. Very short throws, very positive engagement. You know when this thing goes in gear. Not stiff at all. Just a little stiffer than stock.
